Official's Responsibilities
As a League Official, you are responsible to take this role seriously and ensure that you support and promote the Fossil Football League's mandates.
You must promote a competitive recreational level of play and continually work to create a casual atmosphere while keeping true to all aspects of the game. As well, you will help to enforce the league's non-contact policy.
You shall remind Players to always remain fun and friendly. Demonstrate professionalism and respect for players and other officials and will continually promote friendship and team spirit, integrity, solidarity, tolerance, and care.
Please encourage Players to enjoy the sport for its own sake!
As well to fulfill your role as a League Official you will do the following:
1. Ensure game sheets are properly filled out and supplied by each team and that all players listed on the game sheet are playing
2. Ensure that players are wearing the proper equipment, and that all jewelry has been removed.
3. Enforce. the rules of the game, and the league
4. Ensure sportsman like play is enforced.
5. Determine if games must be abandoned due to weather conditions.
6. Keep track of the time, goals, including who has scored.
7. Complete the game sheet, noting any issues or concerns relating to the game. Ensure that game sheets sent into the league board members
